The Tuolumne Meadows Store opens for the season on Friday, June 25, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. Daily operating hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Effective Wednesday, June 30 the daily operating hours will change to 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. While traveling to Tuolumne Meadows, please obey all posted speed limits and be concious of bears and other wildlife crossing the highway.

I called the wilderness permit reservation number today and was told that the tuolumne campground is scheduled to open this Friday as well (though it's not guaranteed).

I've been babbling about 2006...

In 2006 the store and Post Office didn't open until July.
(PCT hikers coming thru had to get down to the Valley to resupply)
