Very cool. I guess the dam is spilling over right now.

I wonder if the Preston Flat trail is above water. It runs along the river upstream from there.

There were cars at the TH parking... so I would assume it's not an issue to get to the flat area.
For sure you can get to the homestead area (same place, don't remember) all year...
Only been to Preston Falls once though so ?? ... (the falls imo pale in comparison to Carlon... big time)..
We went upstream from the trail end and were wondering "is this it?". It's not super impressive imo.
Also wanted to climb up to North Mtn. but gave up after maybe 500 ft. after having to continually
work around a large number of shelves and whacking thru a lot of shrub.
If anyone has a photo of The "true" Preston Falls I'd like to see it. I guess I could put mine up
but it's a yawner.
Going on that trail now would be very interesting. When we did it on May 1 many yrs ago it felt and looked like summer.
Hot, mosquitos, poison oak littering the trail (but at least leaves were on).

Anyway, here's another vid of Tuol. at the Dam at Early Intake:
