Coldwater Campground - Mammoth Lakes
June 05, 2011 04:44PM
My brother-in-law and other friends had reservations for Coldwater Campground in the Mammoth Lakes loop for June 22-26. Reserve America called them today and informed them that all reservations for the period June 5 (today) until June 24 had been cancelled due to snow and weather.

Mammoth plans to have the ski slopes open on July 4th weekend this year.

Mammoth closed July 5 last year. Much more snow this year, but they will probably close on July 4 due to lack of interest not due to lack of snow. They officially received 1.5" more snow last night.

I've seen pics from a plane, from Friday, over the area. All I can say is...wow! June Mountain still even looks skiable...
