Could anyone comment about recent (last week or so) mosquito levels around Lyell Canyon, Vogelsang, Bernice Lake and Washburn Lake areas?
Trying to make a reasonable guess at what might be expected in the 9,000-11,000' elevations in the next two weeks.
To sum up what I see in recent posts, it looks like Tuolumne Meadows isn't bad once you get away from the river:

Brutal at 9,500-9,700' near Ten Lakes:

Lots around Townsley & Hanging Basket (10,600') lakes:

And is mosquito presence more directly related to elevation rather than proximity? (i.e. if they're bad at 9,400' near Ten Lakes then you could expect them to be bad at 9.700' near Obelisk Lake, even though they might be ok at 7,200' at Merced Lake, just 2 miles from Obelisk.) Thanks!
