Climbing death on Half Dome

Friends camping and climbing in Yosemite Valley this week have emailed that a climber fell to his death off Half Dome on Monday. They are sharing a campsite with some Kiwi climbers who had to help the climber's partner off the face. There has been nothing in the news about this, does anyone have more details?
