...Triple digit heat to continue in the lower elevations...

...Increasing thunderstorms in the mountains and deserts into
Saturday...

High pressure over california will maintain triple digit heat
Through friday in the san joaquin valley...The adjacent
Foothills...And the deserts of kern county. High temperatures
Today and friday will range from 104 to 110 degrees...With heat
Indices from 102 to 110 degrees. However temperatures will lower a
Few degrees each day through sunday...Then remain near normal
Into the new week.

Persons planning time outdoors over the next several days should
Practice heat safety tips. Keep your body hydrated with plenty of
Water...Wear light loose-fitting clothing and avoid strenuous
Activity...Especially during the hottest part of the day. Keep in
Mind that pets need plenty of water and shade too.

Increasing monsoon moisture is expected today and friday. Isolated
Storms are possible in the mountains and deserts today...With
Little or no rainfall occurring. However with increasing moisture
Tonight...Locally heavy rains could occur friday and friday
Night. Thunderstorms may also produce gusty winds and hail...Along
With dangerous lightning strikes. Remember...When thunder
Roars...Head indoors.
