A continued influx of sub tropical and monsoonal moisture will
Keep a chance for thunderstorms over the southern sierra and kern
County mountains and desert through the weekend.
The threat of thunderstorms will extend into the san joaquin
Valley and foothill areas today as a weather disturbance passes
Northward across the region. There is a lingering chance of
Thunderstorms along the crest of the sierra on sunday. Any storms
That do develop could cause brief heavy rain...Strong gusty winds
And dangerous lightning.
