Monsoonal moisture will move into the kern county mountains and
Desert as well as the southern sierra thursday and provide a
Breeding ground for isolated thunderstorms. In addition to gusty
Winds and briefly heavy rain...Thunderstorms will bring a threat
Of cloud to ground lightning which can result in new fire starts.
The thunderstorm threat will come to an end by thursday night
In most areas...However lingering moisture over the sierra may
Help spark isolated thunderstorms near the crest on friday.
