Fall Color Hikes?

I'd love to do some fall color day hikes in the Sierra (Eastern or Western). Any suggestions?

Keep an eye on californiafallcolor.com for updates. Higher elevations will usually change first. Bishop's North Lake and Lake Sabrina can be very good. Convict Lake, June Lake and Lundy Canyon are often good. Just keep an eye out for updates to see what the hot spots are this year.

Yes. McGee canyon can also be another great spot.

What I enjoyed about McGee is there was fall colors along most of the route, and you can go as far as you want and then turn around. The trail leads to some nice lakes, although I never made it quite that far. http://www.sierranevadageotourism.org/content/mcgee-creek-trail/sieDF328EE33E6D0D853
