California Highway Patrol will be flying over Yosemite Valley on Thursday morning, November 8th. They are conducting an orientation flight for a new pilot and crew chief. Yosemite Emergency Services works closely with CHP for SAR and EMS needs parkwide and an orientation flight under controlled conditions assists their pilots in preparation for emergency responses. The flight Thursday morning will be 1 to 2 passes, 1500' above the Valley rim, and the pilot will flight follow locally with the Emergency Communications Center. They will not be landing anywhere in the park.
