On Thursday, December 6th, a helicopter hoist training operation will be held in El Capitan Meadow in cooperation with the California Highway Patrol. The training will be a refresher for Yosemite Helicopter Rescue Team personnel to ensure safe oeprations through the winter months when the CHP helicopter is our primary resource for helicopter rescue assests. The CHP aircraft will land in the meadow at approximately 0800, and operations will begin at approximately 1200. The training will conclude at approximately 1600.
In the event of inclement weather, the training will be postponed to a later date TBD.
