What are the plans for the Merced Lake HSC? Last summer, a ranger I talked to was very concerned that it would be closed based on this plan.

If I recall correctly, in the preferred alternative (Alternative 5) they only plan to reduce the number of beds at the Merced Lake HSC from 60 to 44, so people wanting to do the HSC loop will still be able to do so.
