North Rim Traverse Photosynths

Roughly one 'synth for every 6 trail miles: smiling smiley

Flat on Snow Creek Trail

Above North Dome
(I don't know why this one didn't make a full 360-degree pano...)

Yosemite Point
(Don't worry, I didn't break the railing...)

Awesome!
(you missed me again though... was hiking up Cascade Creek)
(literally) (from the bridge(s)) (figured I'd save a couple of creek crossings and miles)
tongue sticking out smiley

Chick-on is looking at you!

Good job!

I love all the detail one can see in these 100-200+ megapixels photosynths that you and the Chick-on have posted. They put my measly less than 10 megapixel photosynths from my smartphones to shame.

Thanks for posting the link to your three photosynths. I especially adore the one from Yosemite Point.

(And I won't tell the Park Service that it was you that broke the railing. wink )

That Yosemite Point one is especially good.

Awesome stuff. Thanks for posting those. Not sure if looking at all these photosynths are 'taking the edge off' or making the desire to go to Yosemite worse.
(I acutally do know...... it's worse smiling smiley)

Love the phtosynths! Thanks for posting. They take me back to my trip along the rim this past summer.

Now for a question arising from ignorance.... Does the area in which you took the Snow Creek pic have a name? When I want to identify this site, I usually end up describing where it is rather than naming it. It would be so much simpler if it had a name.

I don't think it has a name... "Snow Creek Flat" is too close to "Snow Flat", which is a real place near the May Lake trailhead... "Flat at the top of the Snow Creek switchbacks"? "Dome 6700+"?
