Thinking about hiking from Tenaya Lake to Yosemite Valley this Tuesday, starting at the SW end of Tenaya Lake.

1) Would the Hikers' Shuttle that leaves from the Valley drop us off at the SW end of the lake?

2) I'm taking an old feller with me. How difficult a crossing is the outlet?

1. Yes. See: http://www.yosemitepark.com/tuolumne-meadows-tour.aspx with crucial line: "Bus can be flagged for pick-up or drop off at any trail head."

2. Now, easy. During higher flows you would have to wade across the outlet but even then the water is not moving very fast, it's more of an extension of the lake. I doubt you will even get your boots wet next week.

Currently (as of today) it is trivial: one rock to step on is all. Soon it will be dry.

I wonder if I could get a volunteer crew out there to clean that mess up?
