A winter weather advisory above 7000 feet remains in effect from
10 pm this evening to 4 am pst friday for the southern sierra
Nevada from yosemite to kings canyon.
* snow accumulations: 5 to 12 inches.
* timing: snow will begin over the higher elevations of yosemite
National park this evening...With heavier snow spreading
Southward toward kings canyon overnight and continuing through
Thursday night. Snow will diminish to flurries friday morning.
* locations include: yosemite...Mariposa grove...Huntington
Lake...White wolf.
* winds: gusts of at least 55 mph over the higher elevations will
Cause blowing and drifting snow.
* impacts: blowing and drifting of snow may restrict visibilities
Making travel hazardous with possible road restrictions and
