The Glacier Point Ski Hut will remain open for hiking while Badger Pass awaits more snow. Access will be via the Four Mile Trail. Advance reservations are required. Call the Nordic Center at 209-372-8444 for information or reservations.

I never saw anything about it opening.

If the Four Mile Trail is closed, and access to the hut is via the same trail, how does one get to the hut?

Maybe it is time to close the ski resort, clean up the scars, and make it a campground.

Is it possible to go from the valley to the GP ski hut and back as a day hike? I'm in Curry next weekend and looking for something different to do.

Mist has reopened... as has Four Mile with access to GP (and the ski hut)

I did this last weekend. 4 Mile Trail is almost 100% snow free. We went up to Glacier Point and came back down via Panorama Trail + JMT/winter route. Panorama trail has a few patches here and there, but is almost dry too. We followed the winter route down, but the closures of the upper JMT and the Mist trail seem unnecessary given how dry it is out there right now.

How long did it take each way?
