Fishing is a great way for children to have fun, learn about nature and spend time with their families in the outdoors. The Fish Faire includes humor and musical entertainment by Bill Roberson, many hands-on activities, and passport stations including fly fishing with Mother Lode Fly Fishing Club, camping, and Wilderness Act 50th Anniversary.
Special appearances will be made by Smokey Bear, Sammy & Frances Fish, and Woodsy Owl. Registered participants, after visiting specific stations, can fish for a prize. A free hot dog lunch will be provided. Festivities include:
- 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. – Registration at the Pinecrest Amphitheater
- 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. – Fishing and Casting Contests
- 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. – Activities and Displays
- 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. – Lunch with Entertainment at Amphitheater
- 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. – Presentation of Awards
