Yes, but if you look carefully, you can see that it says Yose...Short....

It does have a connection to the park!

Nice link, Old Dude.

This is apparently the last remaining boxcar from that railroad. It now lives in relative obscurity at Railtown State Park in Jamestown. The story we heard from our docent was that it was lying abandoned in their railyard, and somebody starting to take it apart to cannibalize it for parts when someone else noticed the lettering on the side and stopped the wreckage. It has no wheels, but sits under a rough roof at the park.

To bad they cant display it in El portal. I personally feel cheated when i see the Engine that is in El portal now because i know that it didnt see any service on the Yosemite railroad, but yet the only remaining Yosemite steam engine is still around in Mexico.
