The Glacier Point Road in Yosemite National Park will open for the season to automobile traffic tomorrow, Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at 9:00 a.m.

The Glacier Point Store will not be open, but it is anticipated to open in early May. However, vault toilets will be available for visitors. Bridalveil Creek Campground is closed, and will open for the season in the next several weeks. There is snow at most trailheads and on the trails. Visitors are urged to use caution when hiking.

Visitors are urged to drive slowly and with caution, as wildlife may be present on or near the roadway.

The Tioga Road, the popular east-west crossing of the Sierra Nevada in the northern portion of Yosemite, remains closed at this time. Currently, there is no anticipated opening date for the Tioga Road.

For up to date, 24 hour road and weather information, please call 209-372-0200.

Isn't this an early opening for Glacier Point Road?
Don't they usually open Tioga and Glacier roads at the same time?

Edit: Yes it's early according to Tioga and Glacier Point Roads Opening & Closing Dates
and GP usually opens a little before TP

And they're likely going to have to close it later this week since it looks like a fair bit of snow is coming with the upcoming storm.
