Strong westerlies aloft look to overwhelm the Pacific Ocean for next week. An active jet dipping well into the Central Pacific Ocean, running east out of Japan to just north of Hawaii could allow for a wet weather pattern to conclude February. The blocking ridge of high pressure that builds in early next week gets knocked out pretty swiftly as another storm system will likely approach the West Coast for late next week. PoPs have been added for late next week, but the overall weather pattern will have to be monitored. NWS CPC 8-14 day outlooks suggest a wetter than normal pattern to develop for Southwest United States. Stay tuned as an active weather pattern looks to linger.

Hopefully the Oroville Dam is all fixed up before the next series of storms.

From what I saw on AccuWeather, this series of storms is going to last about 2 weeks.

And, I don't think that spillway is fixed. They put a bandaid on it hoping it holds. Unless they got some cement over those boulders, water will rush over, around, and under, them.

Interesting how the environmentalists were ignored. We usually are when it gets in the way of someone making a profit.
