It's going to be a lot of work this year.

May 3, 2017: Crews have reached reached White Wolf; snow is six to eight feet deep and very wet. Crews are averaging about a half mile most days. Advance avalanche crews are working at Olmsted Point (one of the major avalanche zones along the road).

From the west. If any plowing occurs from the east it will be by Caltrans.

The crews at Olmsted Point are the avalanche team, not the plows.

IIRC, there's a least one (if not more) avalanche zones between Big Oak Flat Road and White Wolf. So the avalanche crews must have cleared those already.

I wonder how high the snowbanks off the side of Tioga Road will be once they open it up to the public.
