...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT
THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected starting Thursday. Total snow
accumulations of 3 to 5 feet in the Sierra with a foot or more
at lower elevations.

* WHERE...Mono County.

* WHEN...From late Wednesday night through Saturday morning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions today.
For Thursday through Saturday, plan on difficult travel
conditions. Damage to trees and power lines is possible.
Significant reductions in visibility are possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Now is the time to prepare an emergency kit for your home and
car. If traveling consider alternate plans, remember to carry
tire chains, extra food, water and clothing. Once the storm
arrives, travel may be difficult or impossible for an extended
period of time.

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 16 to 24
inches, with localized amounts up to 36 inches, are possible.

* WHERE...Sierra Nevada from Yosemite to Kings Canyon and Tulare
County Mountains.

* WHEN...From late Wednesday night through late Friday night.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on difficult travel conditions,
including during the evening commute on Thursday. Tree
branches could fall. Significant reductions in visibility are
possible.
