
Today TV stations in the San Francisco Bay Area were all reporting on an unusual cloud phenomenon over the region today per above news image called a hole punch cloud or fallstreak cloud. A term I'd never heard of:

When I saw it I thought, "Hey that looks just like the strange cloud I waited for to pass over Upper Yosemite Falls in 2006 after one of the biggest snow storms of the decade, before I exposed the below sheet of Provia 100F film as described herein. Certainly one of the strongest images in my body of work and now the cloud in it means it was even more special than I imagined. A large print hangs in my living room.
