Guess I should explain...
We visited Ten Lakes (ok, 4 of the lakes so we could boat them... and then both Grant Lakes) …
doing some cross country we ran across this...
The tree was scratched up like nothing else... and this nest was right as you see
We didn't disturb it at all...
maybe a human did this. but it wasn't us. I wouldn't think of doing that to a tree
Found it fascinating. Need to find a "naturalist" in the park to show this to...
