Pile burning has continued in Yosemite National Park because of adequate precipitation. Pile burning locations through May include all community wood lots, western Yosemite Valley, Wawona, and the Ferguson Fire footprint along Wawona Road. Smoke will be present during pile burning operations. However, smoke produced during pile burning is significantly less than if an unwanted wildfire occurs. Smoke from ignited piles will remain until the piles are completely consumed.
