Starting Tuesday June 1, 2021, crews will begin drainage repairs on Tioga Road between Olmsted Point and Little Blue Slide.(12 miles of road rehabilitation along with work on all the parking lot work) As part of these repairs there will be single lane traffic control with up to 30-minute daytime delays. This is a 2-year rehabilitation project, so the work and associated delays will continue thru the fall of 2021 as weather permits and then they will shut down for the winter when the road closes and then startup again in the Spring of 2022 and continue throughout the summer and fall 2022 when it is scheduled to be complete.
Crews will also begin tree removal work in Tuolumne Meadows starting May 24th, however no traffic delays are anticipated for this tree removal work.
Summary of the Upcoming Daytime Delays to Start June 1, 2021:
- 30 Minute Delays = 8AM to 3PM & 5:30PM to 11PM
- 15 Minute Delays = 6AM to 8AM & 3PM to 5:30PM
No weekend or night work is scheduled at this time.
