We are planning to do Porcupine Creek Trailhead to Top of Yosemite Falls to the Valley Floor. Map shows creek crossings at Yosemite Creek as well as Lehamite Creek and Porcupine Creek. My concern is creek crossings, especially Yosemite Creek. Are there established bridges? Did they survive this winter's snowpack? What to expect? Plan to do this in September 2023.

The road isn't open yet, so it is very unlikely that anyone will have current info.

Presumably Tioga Road will be open by September. There's a bridge over Yosemite Creek, and from photos I've seen posted elsewhere it appears to be intact despite high water this year.

There's no bridge at Porcupine Creek but there are usually enough logs to cross, and if not, you can wade across the creek - it's not that big.

YNP site currently lists "A segment of trail between the top of Yosemite Falls and North Dome is closed due to a fire. " That cannot be current - can it?

YNP's "current conditions" page includes a link to "fire closure map" that currently shows a closure between North Dome and Yosemite Falls, although if trying to get between the Porcupine Creek TH and Yosemite Falls (or vice versa), one could avoid this section by following the trail along Lehamite Creek.

Tioga Road. Has anyone done the Porcupine Creek Trailhead this year? How are creek crossings? burn area?

Summary after-action: Sunday 03 Sept fog, wind, drizzle-rain, forecast to increase. Visibility at Olmstead Point 12 feet. We opted to scrub the hike. Interesting that there were 12 or 15 vehicles at the trailhead with groups adjusting rain-gear and heading out. Figured with no view of The Valley we decided to await next-time. Impact or smoke of the Pika fire were not evident from the trailhead. Labor Day traffic in The Valley was truly IMPOSSIBLE. Weather cleared and beautiful next day.
