Quoteiivvgg Thanks for posting. I'm pretty frustrated that they say that they re-evaluate daily, but don't tell us what they decide. I think they have to only close for 7 days. Yosemite Creek, Porcupine Creek, and Snow Creek have water year round. I think Porc has fish in it but not 100%. Yosemite Creek has fish in it. Snow Creek has fish in it. Those are good signs that a creek has water in it year round. Typically that means it is flowing but some people's idea of what constitoots water is different than others. Interesting note on Hoover. It's a bit nebulous. You have to start where your permit says AND you need a permit for where you are going to camp. This is to accommodate Sierra High Route starting effectively from Tuolumne. You have to be OUTSIDE the park and OUTSIDE Hall Research Area if you are South of White Mountain. You CAN NOT camp at Gaylor, Granite, or Skelton Lakes. Period. As stated pretty much the area south of the ridge from Ragged Peak to White Mountain is off limits to overnight camping. Unless it's a trivial route you won't know unless YOU go with YOUR group. You should always be prepared to turn around, scope out ahead for your group, help your group through difficult sections, and decide enough is enough. You should also take care of everyone in your group and know exactly where you are at all times (there's no excuse really for this in this day and age imo anymore).
