They certainly haven't fixed it over the winter... https://yosemitenews.info/forum/read.php?17,91413,91413#msg-91413 Bigger question I have is what is status of Pate Valley bridge. Did it go bye bye in March/April storms? And why do so few post anything? And why is there a "backpacking and hiking" sub-forum? And who invented liquid soap and why? Cool. Sorry if wasn't clear. Did Vernon loop last November. And then another trip around Hetchy area in April when Yosemite Valley was closed due to flooding... Boy Scouts were rescued in the April flood. Anyway, I've only seen the spillway spill a few times in a zillion times at Hetchy. They can raise the louvers (?) to raise the lake... And obviously open bores on the dam itself.by chick-on - Backpacking and Hiking Yosemite and the Sierra

Cool. Guess the atmo events in March and April did that work. Did we mention they had to rescue group of Scouts at Rancheria Falls in April? Hello! McFly! Uh... it was known that it was going to FLOOD THE VALLEY! So why did you go beyond Wapama Falls Bridge!???!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!! Anywho. There was no deadfall over that trail last Nov. O... they got smart and finally put some big boulders along the final two switchers to GP Parking. So much nicer now! So I'll take the hit and wait a bit. They need to do the same at Taft. It's a bit out of control.by chick-on - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
Yep... Crazy. And once got let to go... Sentinel/Taft was usual ... nuts... with one person parking with 1/4 of car in the road... Washburn and GP parking ... there was plenty... so I don't think they were doing a perfect job of letting people thru... by the time I finally got to go.. the line was WAY WAY WAY backed up... like to where you would park for wilderness trips. Yeah, Kinda interesting. I only know camped there in 2004, 2013, 2015 I wonder if it really was no camping or National Geographic had it on their map so it proliferated. I have a 2005 map that has no camping marked around Cathedral Lake and I thought "well... hmm... that's wrong"... maybe it wasn't ... ? The newest National Geo Map has it marked as camping allowed now. Nowby chick-on - Backpacking and Hiking Yosemite and the Sierra

MK Road opens May 23 So anyone going before then... Jealous... MK didn't open until June 15 last year.... and I didn't even cross Franklin Creek then... They had dire warnings that Franklin Pass was not even doozable WITH ice axe and crampons for quite a long time (well into July).
