Its funny that you mention it because it has been in the back of my mind ever since I tried/didn't make it the first time. I went up last Saturday with my dad to May Lake/Hoffman for my last trip of the summer. My goal was 7 trips to Yosemite and I made 10 so I am happy about that. I'm heading down to LA this weekend for my last year of school and I am researching where to hike down there. Maby gkam2 - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion

I guess you could say that I am curious about the hidden gems that are a trek to get to. Doesn't have to be a huge expansive view but more a very interesting one that is remote and doesn't get to many people a year. That sounds like a good time. I went up yesterday and watched the sunrise on Half Dome with a couple first timers. Very nice day out. Did you come around Bunnell point and then head up after the switch backs ended?by gkam2 - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion

Cathedral is one of my favorites to do. I went up there Oct. 15th 2010 last and took this video. The fun part starts at 2:20 and the class 4 climb for the last little bit starts at 4:35. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEFi6JFiz8Mby gkam2 - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion

I like how btnicholas did it. I took my first serious Yosemite trip two years ago and this past year, when I've had the time, I've been hooked. Turned 21 in feb and have used my pass 6 times. Hey! I'm glad the pictures could help. I know I always like when I get some updates around then. The way up took 2 hours but we weren't pushing too hard and took a break or two. There were patches of snow in the first hour but nothing too bad. The ground was pretty moist and mucky in some places. But the last hour or more was done all in the snow. Quotechick-on I lost my clairvoyance at an early age so it was impossible for me to tell. I would have said that at this time... I would go for Florence from Valley floor... Heck, I contemplated it myself when was sleeping above Echo Valley last Friday night... but Washburn was a bigger draw for me... and I completely forgot about Triple Peak Fork falls... which made the decision a very smby gkam2 - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. Quotechick-on I'm wondering why I bothered answering anything about Florence and Clark. That's what I'm wondering... Your answer did not go unused! Hello! I want to plan a trip to Mt. Clark and Mt. Florence with 3-4 days of hiking. 1. Is it possible to start from the Mono Trailhead and only use around 3-4 days? 2.
