I got of couple of nights at Yosemite Lodge during their half price sale, and was in the Valley last Thursday and Friday. But then my hiking buddy came down with the flu. I am sooo jealous! The last two, the Diving Board and the gully between Liberty Cap and Mt Broderick are easy to recognize. The fourth one looks like the canyon above the Twin Falls of Cascade Creek (if, true, how many people would recognize that?). The first one might be on top of Boundary Hill or the El Cap Ridge. From today's AP news: For the last 16 years, park rangers have done their best to warn visitors about the perils of leaving food in their cars, which a bear can easily peel open for a quick treat. Great trip! Three of my very favorites. The last time I did Tenaya Canyon in late October, we started at dawn and I nearly broke my jaw after slipping on an absolutely invisible bit of ice coating the slick rock. I haven't seen that one. I wonder if it's in the book. I have never been able to get a copy of it.
