I would have to say that the Four-Mile to Glacier Point to Panorama to Nevada Falls to Vernal Falls and then down Mist Trail is a cool hike. It rates as a strenuous hike, but my then 8-year old son did the whole stretch in a day. The Mist Trail with this roaring run-off should be on anyone's bucket list. Thanks. Great suggestions, as usual.by Hiker Dad - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
Thanks for attaching the photo album. A couple of questions: 1. Is there a way to get to the trail that doesn't involve wading through 33 degree water up to your privates? 2. What's the best way to travel this trail under these conditions -- snowshoes? 3. Is there less snow heading up from the Mist Trail?by Hiker Dad - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
Anyone tried this trail yet this year? How is the creek crossing at the West endof the lake? Is there much snow to contend with on the trail? I will be hiking this weekend.by Hiker Dad - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion

I usually hike to the top of Yosemite Falls around New Years Day. I'm looking for another good hike in snowy conditions. Any suggestions?by Hiker Dad - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
I'm hiking Tenaya Lake to Clouds Rest in less than two weeks. I don't have camping reservations. What are the odds of arriving late on a Wednesday night and finding an open campsite at White Wolf? Are there higher odds of success at other campgrounds along Tioga?by Hiker Dad - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
