Haha, yeah, hopefully they will learn to let go of all their gadgets and learn to appreciate the outdoors. I looked online and supposedly the valley does have spotty reception. Sonora, CA -- All roads leading into Yosemite National Park remain closed this morning due to downed trees and power lines. Yosemite Valley received well over three feet of snow over the weekend, and power remains out all throughout the park. Hundreds of visitors were evacuated from the park yesterday. PG&E customers in Yosemite National Park and parts of El Portal will remain without power for three to six days as crews work to replace a transmission pole severed by a rock slide, a utility spokeswoman said this afternoon. I've camped at North Pines a few days after it was flooded last summer in mid June. They don't usually release those sites until they figure wheather and when the Merced river will overflow. The ground was still a little wet, but we still had a blast. Most of the tree debre was washed away though, so it wasn't as "fluffy" in our tents.by fluxfluxa - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada.
