Tioga Road and Glacier Point Road may reopen around mid-day on Thursday pending road condition assessments by Rangers and Road Crews. Weather forecasts can change rapidly during this time of year. There are more storms forecasted next week that might cause future road closures.

The group site at Wawona remains open and on reservations year-round. Hodgdon group sites are closed for the winter. North Pines campground will close for the season at noon on Monday, October 30.

Kore Mining Ltd. planned to drill for gold near Mammoth Lakes. The project involved 12, 600-foot deep holes on some 1,900 acres. It would have required vegetation clearing and less than a mile of temporary access roads.
