ScienceDaily (Nov. 11, 2010) — A new field study confirms that an invasive weed called medusahead has growth advantages over most other grass species, suggesting it will continue to spread across much of the West, disrupt native ecosystems and make millions of acres of grazing land almost worthless.

I can't remember the exact spot, but there is some of this grass growing on a turnout on the road up to Nelder Grove. It's on the downhill side and about a mile from the start of the road.
