I'm confused as to exactly which peak is Mt Hoffmann. Some say it's what you can see from May Lake High Sierra Camp. It says that in all kinds of write-ups, fancy brochures, etc. But, the "true" summit is the one with the antennae. Or, is it.
Am I the only one confused about this?? Is it the "hype" of the peak(s) behind May Lake making a beautiful picture vs. the "true" summit with the antennae?

Where the bench marker is. Stamped for your enjoyment.
That being said... you should go up the other two sub-mits which
provide excellent views of May Lake too.. I mean... you're right there...
(and there's a marker on one of them if you like that stuff too)

I'd say it's ok to say you can see Mt. Hoffmann from May Lake HSC.
You can't see the highest pt. / the summit ... but you can certainly see the mountain.
I wouldn't fret too much about it.
