Yosemite Valley to Tuolumne Meadows Late September

We are planning to hike from Tuolumne through Clouds Rest and exit at Happy Isles Sept. 23-25. I've seen that the free shuttles stop by then and that YART will be back on weekend only service. Any suggestions on getting back to Tuolumne and our car once we exit the trail Friday afternoon?

Use two cars or hitch-hike. Hitch-hiking is usually successful althoiugh you may have to do it in two legs, one from the valley to the 120 junction, then to TM.
