Is the park hanging up on us now?

I know it's busy there this year. But I've always been able to reach someone by phone, eventually. When I call the Visitors or TM Wilderness Centers it seems like they're hanging up after letting it ring for awhile.

Anyway, was wondering what the prospects are for getting a walk-up permit. It looks like Saturdays are pretty booked, so I didn't go up today, esp. since I'd be arriving after 1pm. Wanting to head towards Ten Lakes to start, but I'd be out for the week, so it could start from elsewhere than the "Ten Lakes" TH: Yosemite Falls, Mirror Lake, ...South Fork, even.

I only noticed last night their warning against going up without a reservation.

My guess is that during the week you'd have no trouble at all.
