The upcoming trip to Yosemite (21 days and counting) is coming together, but one days
hike remains unplanned. The Pohono Trail has been mentioned many times in this forum,
and it will probably be part of that final hike. One spot on the trail remains a mystery:
Old Inspiration Point. So, if you've been there....
1) Apparently, no official trail leads to OIP. Does reaching it involve a bear and snake
infested wasteland, or is it a fairly easy bushwhack?
2) What can be seen from OIP that can't be seen from Dewey, Stanford, etc.?
3) Since you've been there, is it worth a stop, or could the time be better used elsewhere?
My feet hate me already.
