Quotecalipidder We had some basic work done once at Bishop Automotive and it was fine. Behind the chevron on the way out of town to the north. Yes they are good and very fairly priced. But they are closed Sundays and I imagine tomorrow. Blew a fan belt on a July Sat. late afternoon last year on Sherwin Grade. They were the only ones open that late on a Sat. The guage at Sentinel Bridge has to be below 6.5 ft.. The guage here pretty much mirrors the guage at Pohono Bridge which you can bring up on the internet: National Weather Service hydrologic forecast, Merced river, Pohono bridge. It showed 7ft. yesterday but is to rise daily until at least next thurs. We missed rafting too, but it has to come down sometime this month...hopefully.by mtn man - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. Speaking of people having no respect for someone else's campsite: While we there last week (Lower Pines) we returned about 1 pm one day from a walk and there was a red Jaguar parked between 62 and 64 on the dirt of the campground, not in a turnout, actually parked in the campsite area. Quoteshaunsmomo It is sad that it has to come to roping off your campsite. I have taught my kids from the time they were little that you don't walk through other people's sites. QuotePineCone mtn man, so how was the flooding last week during your stay in Lower Pines? Any sites under water or closed? Yes, pretty much the same sites were still closed as were in early June. I made many friends, but completely rude and disrespectful people are not on my future friend list. I don't think you understood the layout here.
