i went to the Valley this last week, walked over to Upper Yosemite Falls and saw Lost Arrow... i had a "Duh!" moment as i realized (as Bill-e-g mentioned above) i had seen it numerous times in the past, not knowing what it was. lol thanks Billby forrestranger - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. I had a really good time... met a ton of people when i set up my telescope to watch the climbers on El Capitan.... i watched one (if not thee best) climbers in the world! (tommy caldwell) climb for a few hours... i counted two different groups climbing... i was surprised to find that Uppper Pines Campground was full! i would have thought it to be no problem (this time of year) to get a spaceby forrestranger - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. drove through the valley on Sunday... man was it packed!!!! from Cathedral Beach,all the way to the main grocery store, it was bumper to bumper ... i was surprised to find Bridaveil Falls still flowing... i hiked up to Vernal Falls yesterday with my wife and some friends...PERFECT day! 80 degrees with a nice breeze. we saw a buck right along the walk path to Lower Yosemite Falls, everyone was taking photos of it... then right as we were going home (Hwy 120) , we saw a big bear right across the street from the gas station at Crane Flat. i took video of it, tons of people were there to photograby forrestranger - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. there is a place inside the 120 entrance that is a hot spot for Rangers looking to ticket people.. it's about a couple of miles in, where you go down a steep hill and it curves to the left...
