Great vid, thanks for sharing. We did a horse ride up there a few years back, that granite slab looks like one of the areas we rode on, not sure, as there are several slabs on that trail to cross.

Additional surprise inspections will continue throughout the year.

Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion Wow, what a great new camera they got! The road up there is usually open and I drove up there in April with my buddy, but he got skeered when we saw cars up there and so we didn't get out, we just went back down to the road.

Yes. Get away from the valley for sure! Hit trails up and above, leave early and come back after the traffic subsides. I have to say I have not seen the valley this congested and crowded since I've been here. To see traffic backed up along the Ahwahnee Meadow bumper to bumper with no movement on a Monday 3 weeks after Memorial Day is incredible. But please come and enjoy! And go

Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion I agree with the others that trying to clip into the chain on Angel's is more trouble than it's worth, and in fact, could actually cause problems. If you are really scared of exposure, then don't go. I found the trip up Angel's pretty easy, to be honest.
