Quotechick-on Berry Kewl. When we up there on Sunday I guess it was a bit too breezy for them to slack-line across. We did meet Dean Potter at the top of El Cap the previous night though... With the Photosynth thing-a-ding you can really go crazy... they're a lot of fun. You can include the lower falls too... My wife and I headed to Yosemite for our first trip of 2013, hoping to see something new. Inspired by wherever’s post from last week, we decided to go up the Yosemite Falls trail to Oh My Gosh Point since we’d never been there before. The drive to the park was surprisingly quick and traffic free, and soon enough we were stopped at The Cascades and looking at the falls. For April there wby JasonS - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. Cool story Forest Ranger! (yours too Parklover). That guy is amazing, good to hear he's a nice guy. I wonder how often he gets recognized? I met Chuck Billy a few years ago on the Santa Cruz boardwalk, very friendly. Just two weeks ago I met the band The Joy Formidable in Sacramento after a concert and they were super cool as well. Quotetanngrisnir3 Thanks for this. Fantastic details and photos. This is why I love this site. Agreed! Great report. The scale of the features are amazing in those photos where you show your buddy looking for his camera. I know Yosemite is 'big', but that really puts it in perspective. Nice photos! And welcome to the forum by the way. I haven't been to Yosemite in a while, so I haven't had anything to contribute yet. Soon....... I enjoyed the photos and will check out the report on your site. Thanks!by JasonS - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion

Awesome stuff. Thanks for posting those. Not sure if looking at all these photosynths are 'taking the edge off' or making the desire to go to Yosemite worse. (I acutally do know...... it's worse )by JasonS - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
Sometimes, I can be less than charitable to others (always in my mind, never aloud) when I'm wishing I had a spot all to myself. But I can snap myself out of it by thinking "Yeah there's a crowd, but at least they're out here enjoying nature instead of playing video games. Maybe they'll learn to love this place (or already do) and will help protect it for everyone". Regarding the lby JasonS - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion

Totally stunning! I've been looking at your photosynths and they've all been very cool. But for some stoopid reason, I hadn't bothered to play with the zoom button or full screen. That adds several additional layers of awesomeness! It's about as close as you can get to being there I would imagine. Now I wish I had a bigger monitor. What a fantastic report! I loved the format, just the right ratio of words to photos, a true "come along with me" type of post. I've only been up there once, but it was amazing. There's also a cool overlook across from the trail junction to Sunrise Lakes. It's point (summit?) 9242 on the map I'm looking at. You can get a great view down Tenaya Canyon from there. One of my favorite photos from our trip.
