The photos were from Tuolumne Meadows to Glen Aulin; GA to Virginia Canyon; VC to Matterhorn Canyon; Then I day hiked way north up MC. Photos in the slideshow are not in perfect sequence … you hardcore Yosemite backpackers will notice that right away, .. but my friends and family can’t tell (hahaha) Thanks for all the kind comments!by Anvanho - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. No, I’m not a great fan of the airlines. Admittedly, I travel so much that I get special treatment at the gate...but like everyone else, I am still stuck on a plane with hundreds of people every time I fly. It's not exactly backpacking. But a recent flight out of SFO sure had its charms. Choosing a window seat allowed me to get the ultimate bird's eye view of the Sierra, and since I wasby balzaccom - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. I'm doing some very preliminary research on a hike for next year. What can other members tell me about the likelyhood of good campsites along the trail at Matterhorn Creek on the PCT, Rodgers Canyon near the Pate Valley trail junction, and Register Creek in the Grand Canyon? The Pate Valley junction is critical as a water source (the spring that's there) because I'm talking mid-August.by tomdisco - Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. News & Discussion
